(Best months for growing Yacon in Australia - tropical regions)

Easy to grow. Plant sprouting root/tuber to a depth of about 4cm and mulch to cover. Best planted at soil temperatures between 10°C and 25°C. (Show °F/in)
Space plants: 100 cm apart
Harvest in approximately 25 weeks. You can collect a few at a time without digging out the whole plant..
Compatible with (can grow beside): Best in separate bed

06 Nov 12, Jacob (Australia - temperate climate): It does best in the ground, but I have grown it in a large pot successfully. We have grown it for years, the kids love it! A lot of people sell yacon, try allclassifieds.com.au or eBay

20 Nov 13, Karen (Australia - temperate climate): Hi, Daleys nursery will ship to Tassie and WA as I just bought some yacon and most companies will not ship to WA and Tassie. However it is pricey to ship because of the quarantine laws I think 2 tubers cost me around $80 to WA. the tubers themselves were only about $15
