I only plant these in containers, because they spread like wild. I have used cloth bags and terra cotta. They grew very well in both. (Zone 7)

They grew really well in Tropic Utah, which is high elevation by Bryce Canyon.

my sunchokes are growing well in perth in improved bedding. question: Is it a good idea to remove lateral shoots from the main stem to improve growth?
