Do I have to cut the Artchokes back when they have finshed produceing,or leave as is this is there first year

Hi Vincent I let my globe artichoke completely die down and when it produced the new plant - that's when I cut off the old stems. Not sure if that's how you're meant to do it, but it worked wonderfully for me and I had a bumper crop the following year.
