When is it best to plant cabbages and kale in zones 6b and 7a? And bok choy in these same zones?

In zone 6 sow Bok Choy seeds in April, Kale seeds in July and August, and Cabbage seeds in April, July, or August. For zone 7a, Cabbage seeds are best sown in January, February, March, August, or September, while Kale seeds thrive when sown in February, March, or August. Bok choy seeds should be sown in August or September for optimal growth.

I put my beans in a wet paper towel then put the paper towel in a baggie. I store them under the kitchen sink for a few days and they sprout. Then I take them out and plant them. This has worked well for me. I don’t plant the ones that do not sprout.

I want to plant some strawberries with my Borage - I have heard they grow well together - and I'm planting mid-September. It hasn't frozen once since I've lived here, so that danger is low, and I grow a ton of other herbs at that time of year through about now. My Self-Heal is just about to die from the heat, so I'm harvesting that on Monday. What srawberry variety would work well for my climate? I am really hoping I can buy the seeds from you.

Hello,I am about to start sweetcornfarming in Dar Es Salaam, Kigamboni, Tanzania. I intend to buy some different types of Sweetcorn to find out which type I should use. What do you recommend me to start with and fits for lowland, rain about 1200 mm per year, subtropical area, 2 rainperiods. Zone 12.The sweetcorn will be sold on the streets as boil and eaten as streetfood. I hope we will be able to plant the seeds all over the year for selling. Can you recommend different types which I can order and test in a little scale to see which type or types of your products works best for us? Also give me prices for the test. 50 or 100 seeds of each are enough. Before we place a larger order I must know which one works best in my area and environment. I looking forward for a fast response. I need the grains to be delivered to Sweden in a short time. Do you also have an WhatsApp telephone number where I can reach your support/service? You need to contact a Government Agricultural Department in your country and talk to them about all of this. This website does not sell seeds or give advise on what kinds of seeds to plant. There is no WhatsApp phone or support here.

For MS (zone 8b), February and March are suitable months for planting cloves. Most garlic varieties are suitable for this region.

Something is eating my corn stalks leaves leaving holes in them and inside center of stalks looks like wet corn meal or mash can it still be salvaged and what could be causing this? How do I prevent and stop this infestation?

If you planted your garlic in early November it should be up now in mid-May. I'm in 6B and mine broke ground in March and April. One thing that will slow it down is if you have a lot of light-colored mulch. That reflects the sunlight so the soil stays cold. If that's the case scrape it back and see what happens. Also if mulch is too thick straw the soil may be too soggy for garlic, although garlic does like quite a lot of water. But not sogginess.

Botanical Interests has some good dwarf varieties like Sunspot Dwarf that grows 18-24" tall and is good for container planting
