Broad Beans (also Fava bean) 02 Jun, (Australia - cool/mountain climate)
Hi Candice, you should pull out finished broad bean plants. If possible twist them off to leave the roots to decay in the ground as the bacterial nodules on the roots contain nitrogen which will be fertilizer for whatever you plant next.
Broad Beans (also Fava bean) 31 May, Gayle Bailey (Australia - temperate climate)
Half of our row of broad beans have half curled leaves, whole bed was fertilised the same and there is no sign of any bugs. This seems to happen every year and we do crop rotate. Help please.
Snow Peas (also Sugar Peas, Mangetout, Chinese Peas) 30 May, Heyden (Australia - cool/mountain climate)
Why do my organic snowpeas have tiny brown spots all over the peas and flowers, they also seem to be stunted a little? How can i fix this problem organically?
Eggplant (also Aubergine) 04 Jun, (Australia - temperate climate)
Kevin, it could be anything! Not enough water, poor soil, pests? You could try a couple of new plants in different spots and see if that helps. Like tomatoes, eggplant like copious feeding - weekly feeding with liquid fertilizer can get them moving along.
Jerusalem Artichokes (also Sunchoke) 29 May, Eve (Australia - cool/mountain climate)
We had our first crop of these last year. Really delicious - similar to potato but with a nutty flavour.

Garlic 30 May, Diana (Australia - temperate climate)
Garlic likes carrot. I am currently interplanting asian veggies (PakChoy, Chinese broccoli, Choy Sum) with garlic as they grow faster because I do not have much space. I have no problem and the good outcomes from this both plant relationship is that I manage to have nice leafy veggies (without holes) as garlic deter these asian vegetable pests.

Garlic 27 May, Jo myers (Australia - temperate climate)
I planted out 50 cloves of australian garlic bought from woollies in our community garden. They all came up really well. It was my first time growing garlic and it has kept me supplied with garlic since october last year. I thought i'd missed the boat in plnating them this year, but I notice i've got about four weeks to get a move on. How nice it is to have a big plait of them in your kitchen!
Garlic 27 May, (Australia - temperate climate)
I must try that - I've been eating the aussie garlic from woollies, but might save a bit to grow!
Garlic 27 May, (Australia - cool/mountain climate)
Jo, maybe your garlic was chemically treated to prevent sprouting? Was it supermarket garlic, or sold for planting?

Have you been giving them fertilizer regularly - seaweed folia spray and tomato fertilizer? Maybe they are just running out of food to make fruit?
